J-School alumni find careers in journalism and communications and many other fields. They are lawyers, political leaders, business people, military officers, entrepreneurs, Peace Corps volunteers and more.
We have a total of 48 alums who've been named winners of the UM Distinguished Alumni Award – more than for any other School or College at the university. Among our most recent distinguished alumni are a brigadier general who works at the Pentagon, a long-time travel writer, and a national producer for Dateline NBC.
